This June, as we honor Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, we are excited to announce a special opportunity for our military and veteran community. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of a kind-hearted donor, we are waiving the registration fees for military members, veterans, or their family members who sign up for our **Serving Our Elderly Veterans Conference

This conference will provide vital information and resources aimed at improving the quality of life for elderly veterans facing dementia and Alzheimer’s. Join us for enlightening discussions, expert speakers, and a supportive community.

LTC (R) Richard Corson: First Contact with Dementia

**Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) (Ret.), U.S. Army Special Forces**

Richard Corson is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces LTC with over 48 years of service to the Nation, including 25 years at U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). A West Point graduate with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, he has served across Latin America and the Pacific, leading counter-terrorism, counter-narcotics, and Special Operations planning efforts worldwide.

From jungle patrols in Central America to directing global operations centers for SOCOM, Col. Corson’s career has blended field command with strategic innovation. He helped develop Operation Blue Spoon (the Panama invasion), advised the DEA on Operation SNOWCAP, and led the Global Mission Support Center for SOCOM, designing and managing operations centers that supported countless missions around the globe.

He has trained U.S. military leaders at every level and advised international partners including Polish Special Operations Forces. Today, he continues to serve as a thought leader, published author, and advocate for veterans, currently serving as Vice President of the Tampa Green Beret Association.
