Florida is home to more veterans over the age of 65 than any other state.
As our veteran population continues to age, the need for support has never been greater.
Older veterans remain among the veteran populations at greatest risk for suicide, making mental wellness, social connection, and access to resources more important than ever.
Too many aging veterans face isolation, depression, caregiving challenges, dementia, and barriers to accessing the care and benefits they have earned.
This summit was created to bring our community together to provide education, resources, hope, and meaningful connections.
Whether you are an elderly veteran, spouse, caregiver, adult child, healthcare provider, veteran service organization, nonprofit, faith leader, or community advocate, this event is for you.
The summit will feature leading experts in dementia, aging, mental health, veteran services, and caregiving who will discuss how dementia affects not only the veteran, but also spouses, family members, and caregivers. Attendees will gain practical strategies, learn about available resources, and discover ways to improve quality of life while planning for the future.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
Learn from nationally and regionally recognized experts on dementia, aging, mental health, and caregiving.
Connect with veteran and community resources.
Discover programs and services available throughout Central Florida.
Meet fellow veterans, caregivers, and families who understand the journey.
Build relationships that strengthen our veteran community.
Learn about benefits, long-term care planning, caregiver support, and community services.
Admission is free, but registration is required. Seating is limited.
Don’t wait until the last minute. Reserve your seat today and invite another veteran, family member, or caregiver to join you.
No veteran should have to navigate aging, dementia, caregiving, or mental health challenges alone. Together, we can build a stronger network of support for those who have served our nation.
Together, we can ensure that those who once answered our nation’s call never face the challenges of aging alone.
Register today and become part of a growing movement dedicated to improving the lives of Florida’s elderly veterans and those who care for them.
Veterans. Families. Caregivers. Community. Together We Make the Difference.
